Las Vegas police search for orange car involved in hit-and-run

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are searching for an orange sports car that was involved in a hit-and-run crash late last month.

According to LVMPD, a man was struck by a car in the area of ​​Nellis Boulevard and Harmon Avenue at approximately 3:02 a.m. on August 28. Police later determined the man had multiple stab wounds.

The man was reportedly struck by an orange 2015 Dodge Challenger with California license plate 8MFG144. Police said the vehicle did not appear to be involved in the original incident but are asking for help locating it.

Self-defense against stabbing, says LVMPD

Police also issued an update on the stabbing incident that preceded the hit-and-run.

According to LVMPD, the victim was involved in a physical altercation with a woman. Police said the woman stabbed the man in self-defense.
