19-year-old arrested after sexually abusing two teenagers in Sunny Isles Beach: police

A 19-year-old is behind bars accused of smoking with two teenagers and then luring them to a Sunny Isles Beach home, where he put a gun to their heads and raped them, according to police.

He appeared in bond court Thursday after being arrested by Sunny Isles Beach police on Wednesday. He was denied bail and is scheduled to appear in court again Friday morning to attend a preliminary hearing.

Adam Hyman, who lives in Miami Beach, is a known marijuana and e-cigarette dealer and, according to his police report, one of the victims had purchased from him before.

In June, police say, Hyman picked up the victims in his car and drove them around Aventura, including to the top floor of the Aventura Mall parking garage, where they smoked and vaped. Then he took them to a house in Sunny Isles Beach that investigators later determined was where Hyman often obtained his drug stash. He told the girls it was a friend's house.

When Hyman brought the victims into the house, they saw firearms, including shotguns and pistols, according to the police report.

Hyman dragged a victim into a room, pointed a laser gun at her head and said, “Can you believe how easily I can kill you now?” He then pushed her onto the bed and sexually assaulted her. She was too shocked and frightened to fight back, the police report said.

After the first assault, the victim tried to get the second girl to leave, but police say Hyman quickly dragged her into the same room. He attacked her and told her to “stop acting like a bitch and move on” when she resisted, the police report states.

He then pointed a gun at her head and said, “Wouldn't it be crazy if I killed you right now?” Both victims were bleeding and in pain, police added.

When the victims began to talk to each other about the attacks, according to investigators, Hyman shouted at them: “You better tell me what you said. I'm not kidding. I swear to God, I'm going to kill you!”

Hyman later dropped one of the girls off at her home, but police added that he told the first girl he assaulted that he was “not done with her yet.” He then drove her to a Publix parking lot in Aventura, where he sexually assaulted her again, according to the police report. During this alleged assault, Hyman recorded a video that was later used as evidence in his arrest.

Before she took the girl home, she told police that Hyman said he was sorry because the other girl was bleeding so badly.

Hyman is charged with one count each of sexual assault with a firearm or deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, use of a child for sexual purposes, kidnapping and two counts of lewd and lascivious assault.
