Tragic death of American rapper Rich Homie Quan at the age of 34

American rapper Rich Homie Quan, born Dequantes Devontay Lamar and known for chart hits such as “Type of Way” and “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)”, has died at the age of 34. His death occurred at his residence in Atlanta, TMZ confirmed, citing his family and representatives from the Fulton County morgue.

The Fulton County Coroner's Office did not release a cause of death. Quan began his career in 2011 and quickly climbed the charts, reaching number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In 2013, he was recognized by the New York Times as a significant figure in Atlanta's emerging rap scene. Fans and colleagues mourn his sudden death.
