A car accident claims the life of an Albuquerque man

A car crash Wednesday night around 10:35 p.m. claimed the life of an Albuquerque man. The crash occurred on Highway 54, one mile east of Meade, when a 2016 Kia Forte, driven by Austin Wagoner, 37, of Albuquerque, traveling westbound on US 54, crossed the center line and eastbound lanes and traveled in the median. The Kia then struck a culvert and overturned across US 160, rolling an unknown number of times. The vehicle then rolled again over a barbed wire fence and came to a stop.

Wagoner was taken to St. Catherine's in Dodge City, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
