“Twilight” series will be an animated remake

The “Twilight” series from Lionsgate will not greet you with any new material. There will also be no reunion with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart or Taylor Lautner – because the remake is an animated series.

The series is also supposed to be more closely based on the books than the films were. From Bella's perspective, however, the series probably won't end up on your screens. Instead, “Midnight Sun” will serve as a template.

The novel, which for a long time was only a myth among fans, was published in 2020. When does the series start?

Exactly what the start date of the “Twilight” series is is not yet known. So far, Lionsgate has remained fairly secretive about the details of the new show. What is known, however, is that the Series has been in production since 2022.

Stephanie Meyer, author of the “Twilight” saga, is working on the series as an executive producer. She is joined by Sinead Daly (“Raised by Wolves”), who will also be responsible for the script. A streaming provider has secured the rights for the remake and ordered the first season. All episodes of the “Twilight” series will soon be released on Netflix find.

However, as of September 2024, all previous films about Edward and Bella's love story will no longer be available on the streaming platform. It is not known whether the films will make a comeback on Netflix. However, they have often been removed from the range, only to reappear a short time later.
