Brandon McManus makes outrageous allegations against women who accused him of sexual assault in London – judge dismisses case

NFL star Brandon McManus has made wild allegations against two women who accused him of sexual assault on a team flight to London after a judge dismissed their lawsuit.

The former Jacksonville Jaguars kicker, along with his former team, was sued by two flight attendants who claimed he rubbed and ground himself against them during a flight last year – allegations he denies.

But in court documents filed in response to the case, McManus used the women's alleged social media posts and other allegations to portray them as greedy, promiscuous former drug addicts.

Other explosive allegations include that one of the 29-year-old flight attendants had herself legally adopted by an 84-year-old man before entering into a romantic relationship with him and manipulating him into leaving her more than a third of his fortune.

According to ESPN, the women demanded $1 million and a jury trial, but a judge has now dismissed the plaintiffs' lawsuit, citing their refusal to be named in the lawsuit as the reason for dismissing the case.

“Jane Doe I and Jane Doe II have made serious allegations against a public figure and called into question her credibility,” District Judge Michael S. Sharrit wrote in his ruling.

“Fairness requires that the plaintiffs be willing to publicly stand behind their allegations, just as the defendant McManus must openly refute them.”

“We are very pleased with the court's order in connection with Mr. McManus' motion to dismiss these baseless allegations,” McManus' attorney Brett Gallaway said in a statement to ESPN.

As part of their lawsuit, the athlete and the Jags submitted several sexually explicit social media posts that they claimed came from the women.

The document also alleged that one of the flight attendants posted a picture of herself in “a short skirt, on an airplane, lying upside down on a seat, with her legs in the air in a sexually provocative pose” and used the N-word in the posts.

McManus accused one of the women of convincing a North Dakota man 50 years her senior to adopt her and then extorting $100,000 from him to pay rent, cars and credit card bills.

The filing states that the woman also persuaded the man, identified only as Joel, to change his will and leave her 35 percent of his assets, “to the detriment of his other two children.”

The document, called a motion for admission, is used during the discovery phase of a trial and is a request for a statement of agreed facts.

The complaint also asked the plaintiff to “admit that you had a sexual and/or romantic relationship with Joel prior to entering into a sexual and/or romantic relationship with Joel and prior to your legal adoption by Joel.”

McManus also accused them of drinking alcohol on the job, including drinking a few shots at 7 a.m., seeking treatment for drug addiction, and having “sexual contact” with other NFL players and employees on the job.

He claimed that they continued to work on NFL charter flights despite the allegations.

He asked them to admit that they were trying to obtain settlements from other men over alleged sexual assaults, “including, but not limited to, allegations you made against a high school teacher that were later found to be unfounded.”

The women and their families were also accused of being involved in personal injury lawsuits in North Dakota, California, Texas and Arizona related to unpaid medical bills.

McManus and his former team were sued for failing to provide a safe working environment.

According to the women's lawsuit, the Jaguars flew to the United Kingdom on a charter flight operated by Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings on September 28, 2023, and the two women worked as flight attendants for the team.

They claimed the trip “quickly turned into a party” and that McManus and several other players “disregarded flight attendants' privacy, flight safety and federal law.”

One of the women – identified only as Jane Doe I – accused McManus of attempting to kiss her during turbulence, of kissing her while she was seated, and of rubbing himself against her twice as she served food to passengers.

McManus denied the allegations and has since attempted to portray his accusers in his own court filing as sex-obsessed money-grubbers.

The Jaguars, owned by Shad Khan, were also sued by the women for failing to supervise McManus and create a safe environment for the team's personnel.

The second woman – Jane Doe II – claimed that McManus rubbed himself against her while serving the second of the flight's two meals before confronting him – at which point he “grinned and walked away.”

Doe I also claimed that during the first alleged assault, she looked into the eyes of another Jaguars player who “appeared embarrassed by McManus' behavior.”

Doe II also claimed that when the team returned to the United States from London after the two games, she “stayed on the second floor of the plane to avoid McManus.”

The lawsuit states that the two women experienced severe mental anguish, fear, psychological and emotional stress, embarrassment and humiliation.

The Jags played two games in London during the 2023 season, on October 1 against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley and on October 8 against the Buffalo Bills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. McManus played in both.

The kicker was not re-signed by the team at the end of last season and received a one-year, $3.6 million contract from the Washington Commanders.

However, due to these allegations, he was thrown out of the team.

Jacksonville Police later issued their own statement, saying, “We are aware of the complaint and recognize the significance of the allegations.”

“As we continue to investigate the matter, it must be emphasized that we insist on an organization built by people who represent our community and our game with the highest character and class.”

Last season, the NFL star earned $2 million in his one-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars after being released by the Denver Broncos.

In 2023, he converted 30 of his 37 field goal attempts and all 35 of his extra point attempts.
