Huawei shows Huawei Watch GT 5 and new smartwatch with continuous blood pressure measurement

The Huawei Watch GT 5 has a date – at least for the presentation. The watch is to be presented on September 19th in Barcelona. Huawei has not actually confirmed that the presentation will also be about the Watch GT 5 – but this is clear from the information already known. The announcement shared via X shows a smartwatch with a very special design – the manufacturer has already confirmed this visual design in a teaser trailer. The Huawei Watch GT 5 has neither a round nor a rectangular display, instead the case is hexagonal. To what extent such a design really offers practical advantages remains questionable, at least the appearance is not ordinary.

The manufacturer has shown further images on Twitter, showing that the Watch GT 5 will be launched in several model versions and also in a version that is probably more aimed at women. In another post, the manufacturer shows a smartwatch with a conventional design. The display shows the measurement of systolic and diastolic blood pressure. It is currently not possible to say with any certainty whether the smartwatch uses an air cushion for measurement like the Huawei Watch D, but it does not look like it. The measurement is apparently also possible permanently, so that several measurements can be seen per hour. It is quite conceivable that Huawei will present other products at the launch event.
