Teenagers charged after stabbing | Melton & Moorabool

Police have charged six teenagers following the stabbing of a student at Springside West Secondary College in Fraser Rise last month.

As Star Weekly reported, a 16-year-old boy suffered a stab wound to his arm at a bus stop at City Vista Court at around 3.10pm on August 22.

Detectives from the Melton Crime Investigation Unit arrested six people at several properties in Deanside, Hoppers Crossing and Keilor on September 4.

Two boys from Deanside, aged 15 and 17, were charged with disorderly conduct and car theft. The 15-year-old was also charged with being armed with criminal intent and possessing a controlled weapon without permission.

A duo from Hoppers Crossing, also aged 15 and 17, were charged with affray, car theft and possession and trafficking of cannabis.

The 17-year-old was also charged with unauthorized possession of a controlled weapon.

One of the 15-year-old boys from Keilor was charged with affray, car theft, unlawful possession of a prohibited weapon and possession and trafficking of cannabis.

The other, a 14-year-old, was charged with car theft and failure to comply with a search warrant.

The six were released on bail and will appear in juvenile court at a later date.
