Emmerdale spoilers – shock attack for Moira Dingle

Emmerdale aired a shocking attack by Moira Dingle in the latest episode.

Viewers have seen Moira behaving out of character recently before suffering a seizure in a dramatic cliffhanger last week. No one in her life knows about the health scare.

Cain had previously threatened to end his marriage due to Moira's erratic behavior, but by the final episode it seemed as if the two were back on track.

In Wednesday's episode (September 4), Moira saw Ruby talking to Cain on the other side of the village and jumped to conclusions.

She later turned up at Mill Cottage to argue with Ruby, accusing her of trying to “get into bed” with Cain. Ruby laughed at Moira's accusation that she had been “flirting heavily with her brother-in-law.”

“I’m not blind,” Moira insisted.

When Ruby asked where this suspicion came from, Moira slapped her in the face. Cain and Caleb entered Mill Cottage immediately after the blow.

Moira insisted that Ruby had been after Cain since she arrived in the village. When Ruby mentioned that her sister-in-law had once had an affair, Moira attacked her again.

“Stay away,” Moira demanded as Cain pulled her out.

Back at the farm, Cain wanted to know if Moira had gone for a blood test or made a doctor's appointment, as they had previously discussed the possibility of her going through menopause.

Moira was confused by Cain's question and admitted that she wasn't sure if she had made any appointments.

This disturbing mystery surrounding Moira's condition escalates in the following scenes to the dramatic barn fire in which she experiences another, possibly fatal confrontation with Ruby.

Emmerdale will be broadcast weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and streamed on ITVX.
