Frontier offers speeds of 7 Gbit/s across the network

For those who want the service, it comes with a premium price.

Frontier’s 7 Gig offer starts at $299.99 monthly with autopay, for 12 months. It includes our most popular additional services, a $899 value with included routers.

While a 7 Gbps service will likely resonate with a small portion of Frontier’s subscriber base today, Frontier noted that during the second quarter, over 60 percent of its new fiber customers took speeds of 1 Gbps or faster, and more than half purchased at least one additional service that requires more bandwidth.

Frontier’s CFO Scott Beasley noted during the company’s second-quarter earnings call that ARPU growth is related to three main themes: faster customer speed tiers, annual price adjustments, and expanding value-added services.

“In Q2, over 60% of new customers took speeds of 1 gig or faster, and over 50% purchased at least one value-added service, including products like YouTube TV and whole-home Wi-Fi,” he said.
