Tragic accident: Young woman hit by SUV in Mumbai

In a tragic incident in Mumbai, a 26-year-old woman named Shahana Kaazi lost her life when she was hit by a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) on Tuesday evening.

The accident occurred in Malad's Gudiya Pada locality and led to the immediate arrest of SUV driver Anup Sinha, who works as a merchant navy officer. According to police, Sinha rushed Kaazi to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Sinha was arrested under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and is currently in police custody. The authorities have also seized his vehicle and taken a blood sample from him to ascertain whether he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
