Postcard contest celebrates the 100th birthday of former President Jimmy Carter

PLAINS, Ga. (WALB) – Jimmy Carter National Historical Park is celebrating the upcoming 100th birthday of former President Jimmy Carter.

The theme of the 2024 Peanut Festival postcard contest is “Happy 100th Birthday, President Carter!”

To enter, students must design a 3″ x 5″ unlined index card. All submissions will be judged on creativity in using the theme.

Colored pencils, pencils, pens and markers can be used to create artwork. Copyrighted trademarks are not accepted.

The following information must be on the back:

• Grade level
• First and Last Name
• Name of school and supervising teacher
• E-mail address
• Telephone number

The deadline for submitting your postcard is September 11th to be considered for judging.
