Amy Slaton arrested for drug possession and child endangerment – ​​Hollywood Life

1000-pound sisters star Amy Slaton was arrested on charges of drug possession and child endangerment, the Crockett County Sheriff's Department said. Authorities announced the news via Facebook on Monday, Sept. 2, noting that police responded to a 911 call after a guest at a local zoo in Alamo, Tennessee, was bitten by a camel.

“Amy Slaton Halterman, 1,000 pound sisters r“The reality TV star was arrested for illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI and two counts of child endangerment,” the sheriff's Facebook post said alongside Slaton's mug shot.

Elsewhere in the social media post, authorities included the mugshot of the other person arrested with Slaton: Brian Scott Lovell.

“Both individuals were taken to the Crockett County Jail,” the sheriff’s statement said. Officers were asked to come to the Safari Park where a guest had allegedly been bitten by a camel. Upon arrival, officers were immediately surprised by suspicious odors coming from the guest's vehicle.”

At the end of their post, Crockett County Police concluded: “The charges and allegations mentioned in this press release are merely allegations of criminal conduct and are not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted in a due process of law.”

It is unclear who claims to have been bitten by a camel at the zoo. Slaton has not publicly commented on her arrest at the time of publication.

Last year, Slaton and her ex-husband Michael Haltermanseparated in March 2023. They finalized their divorce later that year. The former spouses have sons together, Gage and Glenn, and agreed to share custody of their children.

During an episode of 1000-pound sistersSlaton spoke openly about what led to her separation from Halterman.

“I told him over and over again, 'If you don't change, I'm leaving,'” she told producers.

During the show, the TLC personality also claimed that her ex did not want to be alone with both children at the same time.

“I don't know if it's because he doesn't want to watch it alone or because he can't watch it alone and play a video game at the same time. [sic]”, Slaton added.
