55-year-old man arrested for sexually abusing a minor in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: The police station today arrested a 55-year-old man on suspicion of sexually assaulting a minor girl in the airport area of ​​Bhubaneswar.

On September 2, when the parents of a nine-year-old girl from the airfield area were not at home, the 55-year-old entered their house. The man, identified as Dhadia Behera, sexually abused the minor girl and threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident.

Since the defendant had locked the door and windows of the house from the inside, the underage girl's neighbors received no clues about the crime.

The minor girl told her parents about her ordeal when they returned home from work.

Based on a complaint lodged by the girl's parents at the airport police station, the police station arrested Behera.
