Police: Woman arrested after stabbing

BATTLE CREEK – A 21-year-old woman was arrested following a stabbing early Monday, according to a Battle Creek Police news release.

According to police, a 30-year-old man is in stable condition after a domestic dispute involving physical violence occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 5200 block of Horizon Drive, where they found the victim with a stab wound under his right chest. Officers were told the suspect, the victim's 21-year-old girlfriend, fled the scene. She was found a short time later at another residence, where she was arrested and taken to the Calhoun County Jail.

The Battle Creek Fire Department and LifeCare Ambulance treated the victim before transporting him to a local hospital.
