Koleosho: We have lost a great, selfless leader – Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State said that with the death of Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho, the state and Nigeria in general have lost a selfless leader.

Makinde made the statement in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Tuesday.

The statement was signed by his Special Assistant on Media (Print), Moses Alao.

DAILY POST had earlier reported that Koleosho, a former secretary to the state government, died on Monday.

The news of his death was announced on Tuesday. Oyo ex-SSG Koleoso is dead.

In his reaction, Makinde described the deceased as a selfless leader.

He added that with the death of Koleosho, the state and Nigeria in general have lost a selfless leader.

He took the opportunity to express his condolences to the people of Saki for the death of their relative.

In his further speech, Makinde described Koleosho’s death as the end of an era.

Makinde said: “I received the news of the death of Baba Michael Koleoso, the Babalaje of Saki, with shock and sadness.

“Oyo State and Nigeria have lost a great patriot and selfless leader, one of the last survivors of a line of leaders who gave their all to make Nigeria a better place.

“It is the end of a glorious era and we can only pray to God to rest the soul of our Baba.”
