Police have issued an update after a boy was stabbed in the chest at a house party. Officers were called to City Road in Walton at around 12.35am on Thursday, August 29.

It follows a report that a 14-year-old boy was found in a house with stab wounds to his chest and arm. This incident occurred after another stabbing an hour earlier on Weaver Street in Walton, at around 11.30pm on Wednesday 28 August.


Police reported that three men stabbed another man in the incident. The victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with multiple injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

A police spokesman said the three men ran towards Maria Road and allegedly drove off in a Volkswagen Polo. Merseyside Police believed at the time that the two stabbings were linked.

However, in an update on Monday, September 2, a police spokesperson said the two incidents were no longer believed to be connected, adding that the boy was still in hospital in a stable condition. No arrests have been made in either case.

The morning after the attack, the front door of the crime scene was covered in blood. Neighbors said they heard “screaming” at the time of the incident.
