Baltimore police arrest suspect in stolen Jeep Wrangler case

BALTIMORE, Maryland. — A 44-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection with a stolen vehicle in Southeast Baltimore County. The arrest came after a vehicle stop by detectives who investigate stolen cars and auto thefts in the area.

On September 2, 2024, at approximately 11:22 a.m., detectives identified a stolen 2023 Jeep Wrangler being driven in the 1500 block of Mcelderry Street. The vehicle had been reported stolen in the Southeast District the previous day.

With the assistance of officers, detectives were able to successfully stop a vehicle in the 500 block of Somerset Street and arrest the driver. The suspect was transported to the Central Subpoena Center for processing.

Baltimore police have not yet released the identity of the arrested man; the investigation is ongoing.

  • Man found shot on Lysle Boulevard in McKeesport

    McKEESPORT, Pennsylvania. – Detectives with the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found Monday morning on Lysle Boulevard in McKeesport.

    At approximately 10:50 a.m., emergency responders received a 911 call reporting a man in the 500 block of Lysle Boulevard. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male lying in the street with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Allegheny County Police have not yet released the identity of the victim and the investigation is still in its early stages. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances of the shooting.

    Authorities are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit.

  • One dead and one injured in shooting in Dorchester

    BOSTON, Massachusetts. — One man died and another was critically injured in a shooting in the Dorchester neighborhood Monday afternoon. Boston police arrived at the scene near the intersection of Washington and Erie Streets at around 12:55 p.m. after gunshots were reported.

    Upon arrival, District C-11 officers found two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to local hospitals, where one was later pronounced dead. The second victim is expected to survive his injuries.

    Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident was not a random act. The Boston Police Department's Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
