Two teenagers charged with murder of 13-year-old stabbing victim

West Midlands Police have charged two teenagers with the murder of 13-year-old Jahziah Coke.

Jahziah died at his home in Oldbury, near Birmingham, last Thursday, despite efforts by paramedics to save him.

A statement confirming the charges against two teenagers also said a man in his 40s was charged with aiding and abetting the crime.

In a statement released by West Midlands Police, the victim's mother said: “Jahziah was a very polite, friendly and family orientated young man.

“He was very loving and always smiling. His smile lit up the room. He was very kind-hearted.”

A statement from West Midlands Police continued: “At this stage we are not looking for anyone else as part of our investigation.

“We have been carrying out CCTV surveys in the area but also need feedback from anyone who has footage from dashboard cameras, doorbells, CCTV cameras or mobile phones that could assist with the investigation.”
