NFL star TJ Watt and former professional football player Dani Watt are expecting their first child

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker TJ Watt and his wife, former professional football player Dani Watt, are expecting their first child.

The couple shared the news on Instagram on September 1, along with photos showing the two in matching jeans and T-shirts that accentuate Dani Watts' pregnant belly.

Several photos of the couple also include Dani Watt, a former Chicago Red Stars striker, holding ultrasound images of her pregnant baby.

“February 2025,” the couple captioned their joint post.

Dani Watt, 26, also shared the photos on her Instagram story, captioning one, “We can't wait to meet you baby.”

Football fans have commented on TJ Watts’ post to congratulate him.

“Great, the baby is coming the day after the Steelers win the Super Bowl, cool,” predicted one.

“Future Steelers legend in the making,” wrote another.

The 29-year-old athlete, who was named AP's 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, is the younger brother of former NFL stars JJ Watt and Derek Watt.

TJ Watt and Dani Watt tied the knot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in July 2022, a year after TJ Watt shared pictures of his proposal on Instagram.

“I'm the luckiest man in the world!!,” he wrote at the time. Dani Watt also shared the pictures on her Instagram and captioned them, “YES. YES. YES,” along with a diamond ring emoji.

The couple's baby news comes less than a month after TJ Watt honored his wife on their second wedding anniversary.

“Happy second wedding anniversary, my soulmate!” he wrote under a carousel of pictures of the two on Instagram. “Through all the ups and downs, you are my rock. I love you!”
