Rep. Jasmine Crockett criticizes Trump, the “whining child,” with biting debate prediction

Rep. Jasmine Crockett gave a taste of what next week's debate between Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris might look like – if the former president even shows up.

“We'll see this whiny kid sitting there not giving straight answers and quite frankly distracted and acting like a jerk,” she told MSNBC's Alex Witt on Saturday. “We saw it on the trail when he started talking about wind and complaining about sharks.”

Trump and Vance
Donald Trump has chosen Republican Senator from Ohio, JD Vance, as his running mate.

Then she attacked Trump with the word that seems to be getting under his skin lately.

“I mean, the guy is really weird and crazy,” she said.

Democrats call Trump “weird” and Trump has repeatedly complained about it.

In the same interview, Crockett said Harris would try to be the “adult in the room” in the fight against the former president.

“She wants to reassure the American people, first and foremost, that she understands the issue. She also wants to remind them why we kicked him out in the first place and why we don't want to go back there,” she said.

The debate is scheduled for September 10, but Trump has complained about it and hinted that he may not show up.
