Open-air cinema in the Turm Baur ends with “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”

On Sunday, the open-air cinema in the Turm Baur traditionally ended with the US cult film classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” from 1975.

Around 400 visitors wanted to be there – many of them in costumes based on characters from the film. Daniela from Manching and Angela from Mailing had dressed up as the maid Magenta. “For fun,” she said. She had seen the film at least 15 to 20 times. “It is a precursor to the queer movement and stands for tolerance,” said Angela.

Before the film began, the audience's taste was put to the test: they could choose the most beautiful or original costume from among the four nominated candidates by applauding.
