68-year-old pedestrian dies after collision with car

LYNCHBURG, Virginia. – Lynchburg police are investigating after a man was hit and killed by a car.

According to authorities, the incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Campbell Avenue on Sunday and resulted in the death of a 68-year-old pedestrian.

Lynchburg Police report the man was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they are actively investigating the circumstances of the incident.
