Police reveal identities of police officers killed by Shiites in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has released the identities of officers murdered by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), popularly known as Shiites.

DAILY POST recalls that the officers were killed when the Islamic group launched an unprovoked attack on police officers stationed at Wuse Market Junction on August 23, 2024.

About three other officers were injured in the attack and left unconscious.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, identified the killed officers as ASP Innocent Agabi and Inspector Alexander Odey.

The statement offered condolences to the families of the deceased officers, but said: “As breadwinners of their families, one can only imagine how deeply their loved ones are grieving now.”
