WHAT'S HAPPENING TODAY

First thing on your news this morning: the Miami Hurricanes?

Stay tuned today as we will get feedback on further analysis of the Florida game from coaches Mario Cristobal, Shannon Dawson and Lance Guidry. You don't want to miss their perspective on the big win in Florida.

And of course, we've got you covered on Saturday's game at the Swamp, with Gary Ferman's column, postgame interviews with Mario Cristobal and the players, our positional grades column, Pro Football Focus' ratings, Gary Ferman answering all your postgame questions on the message board, our game analysis report and much more, including the release of the team's first official roster.

This morning we also have some Cam Ward analysis for you, including video clips that illustrate his innovation and intuition in scanning the defense and making the right plays time and time again. Plus, we have a story detailing Ward's big plays in the game and his feedback on winning.

We've got recruiting news for you too, and it starts with our recruit reaction story to the big win at UF. Find out what top prospects are saying about it and how it affects them. There's also an update this morning with 5-star DJ Pickett, who Miami is trying to convince and who was in attendance at the game and was obviously impressed with the Canes' win. And we talk to another recruit in attendance, 4-star CB J'Vari Flowers, who says the outcome of the Miami win affected how he views the program today.

Also on Friday night, we have our weekly “Live From The Crib” column from the Orlando Jones-Timber Creek game, which also featured Miami-committed Dereon Coleman and Florida-committed Vernell Brown III, who the Canes are still courting.

In basketball?

There was a new signing over the weekend: The Canes signed 4-star guard Matthew Able on Friday afternoon. Don't miss his thoughts on why he chose UM and his goals.

And as always, stay tuned today to make sure you don’t miss any news.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

I am very happy for Mario … Posted by 289FIA

The man left a fantastic job in Oregon with tons of financial support to do something that was very close to his heart and that few of us can relate to. He did it…in Florida…history is starting to change. Great job, Coach!!

QUOTE OF THE DAY FROM THE MIAMI HURRICANES

“Miami hasn't been here in 16 years and hasn't won in over 20 years. Do you think that game was great? The level of animosity, hatred and hostility between the fan bases, do you think it fueled the mood a little bit? It was stark, beyond good and evil.”
