Massive traffic accident in Kyrgyzstan claims 7 lives

(MENAFN) Seven people were killed and six others injured in a tragic road accident in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday, according to a press release from the Main Directorate of Transport Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. A total of five vehicles were involved in the collision, which occurred at around 16:00 local time (10:00 GMT) on the 51st kilometer of the Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart highway.

The incident began when one of the cars traveling at high speed blew a tire, causing the vehicle to spin out of control and cross into the oncoming lane. The out-of-control car first hit a minibus before colliding with several other vehicles on the road.

Emergency services arrived promptly at the scene, but the accident left several people dead and injured. Investigations into the exact cause of the tire blowout and the sequence of events leading up to the accident are ongoing as authorities try to understand how such a catastrophic series of collisions could have occurred.

The accident highlights the ongoing risks associated with high-speed travel and the critical importance of vehicle maintenance in preventing such tragedies. Authorities have urged drivers to be cautious and ensure their vehicles are in good condition to avoid similar incidents in the future.
