Delhi man stabs wife to death, leaves body in car | Delhi News

NEW DELHI: A 21-year-old man, Gautamwas arrested after allegedly stabbing his 20-year-old wife Manya and leaving her body in his car in West Delhi Rajouri Garden area, officials said Monday.
The incident occurred when Head Constable Ajay of Khayala police station noticed Gautam walking around shirtless at around 1.20 am. During questioning, Gautam admitted that he had killed his wife and left her body in the car.
Further questioning and verification revealed that Gautam, a resident of Raghubir Nagar, had married Manya in March without her family’s consent.
“Even after the wedding, they lived only with their respective families and met occasionally,” an official explained.
On Sunday evening, Gautam met Manya in Titarpur area of ​​Rajouri Garden. At around 11 pm, the couple got into an argument in the car when Manya insisted that they should move in together.
The situation escalated and Gautam inflicted multiple stab wounds on Manya. When he realized that she was dead, he parked the car near the red light of Shivaji College and tried to escape. At that moment, he was arrested by police commissioner Ajay.
“At around 11pm, Manya insisted that they move in together and an argument broke out between them in the car itself,” said another police officer.
A murder case has been registered at the Rajouri Garden police station and the facts narrated by the accused are currently being verified, the officer added.
