Frances Tiafoe's girlfriend Ayan Broomfield: Meet the tennis star's partner

If you watched Frances Tiafoe's thrilling comeback against Ben Shelton in the third round of the US Open on Friday, you might have seen a few clips of his girlfriend in the stands, absolutely grinding through it, the emotions wracking her with every shot. She was STRESSED.

And of course, some of you are wondering who this supportive friend is. For those who don't know yet, allow us to introduce her.

Her name is Ayan Broomfield and she and Tiafoe have been a couple for some time. According to The SpunThey started dating in 2015 and the couple has been “Instagram official” since 2018.

But that's not the only reason Broomfield is a household name among tennis fans. The Canadian-born 27-year-old was a player herself, making her WTA Tour debut in 2014. In college, she was the 2015-16 ACC Freshman of the Year at Clemson and won the 2019 NCAA Div. I women's doubles championship at UCLA. Broomfield was a body double for the actress who portrayed Venus Williams in “The 2021.” King Richard.

Today, she is a content creator and influencer and recently founded the Ayan Broomfield Foundation, as revealed in a March interview with fashion.

The next time fans can expect to see Broomfield cheering on Tiafoe will be on Sunday night during his fourth-round match at the US Open against Alexei Popyrin.
