Willingboro man charged in stabbing attack on brother – Trentonian

Burlington County District Attorney LaChia L. Bradshaw and Willingboro Township Acting Public Safety Director Ian Bucs announced that a 26-year-old Willingboro man has been charged with stabbing his brother to death following an argument at a family's home last weekend.

Carl Agyemang has been charged with first-degree murder and weapons charges in the death of his brother Floyd (23). He remains in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly pending his detention hearing in Superior Court. The case is being prepared for presentation to a grand jury for possible indictment.

The investigation began at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, when officers from the Willingboro Township Police Department were dispatched to the first block of Hepburn Lane for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they discovered Floyd Agyemang with a stab wound to the chest. He was transported by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

Carl Agyemang fled on foot, but was arrested a short time later by Willingboro Township police officers. A knife was recovered from him, which is believed to have been used in the fatal attack.

Floyd Agyemang was pronounced dead in Cooper shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday. An autopsy performed by Burlington County Coroner Dr. Ian Hood determined the death was a homicide and the cause of death was stabbing.

The investigation was conducted by detectives from the District Attorney's Office and the Willingboro Township Police Department. The lead investigators are BCPO Det. Arek Arargil and WTPD Det. Brandon Norris.
