Solingen commemorates the victims of the knife attack

Solingen: The city remembered the victims of the knife attack today with a memorial service and a wreath-laying ceremony. In his speech, Federal President Steinmeier called on people to continue to stand together despite the grief and anger. But he also urged politicians to do more to limit immigration. Three people were killed and eight others injured in the knife attack at the Solingen city anniversary celebrations. The suspected perpetrator is a Syrian who is said to be a member of the Islamist terrorist organization IS.
