The NFL season begins next week and we can look forward to another incredible year. The Kansas City Chiefs are looking for their third consecutive Super Bowl victory, a feat no team has accomplished in the Super Bowl era.

Every other team is trying to knock the Chiefs off the top, but it won't be easy. Kansas City has better offensive weapons for star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and a solid, young defense.

But it seems that not everyone is banking on the Chiefs defending their title again. Former NFL star quarterback Donovan McNabb goes against the grain and does not believe the Chiefs will reach the Super Bowl this season.

McNabb spoke with John Robinson IV and Doug McKain of LA Sports Report about his Super Bowl predictions. He chose an interesting matchup.

“It's hard to turn down Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes, but I'm going to do it because winning three in a row is hard,” McNabb said. “I'd say Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens will represent the AFC. In the NFC, I'm going to go all out a little bit and pick the Philadelphia Eagles just because of what I see on offense. I'll have to see what the defense looks like, if Jalen Carter and the Georgia guys will step up their game. But I'm going to pick the Philadelphia Eagles. I know a lot of people would pick San Francisco again. But I think this is the year Philadelphia comes back.”

If McNabb's prediction comes true, it would be one of the most exciting duels in recent history for NFL fans. Star quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts would fight for the right to call themselves champions.

Jackson and the Ravens have been close every season but have never managed to make the Super Bowl, losing to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game last year despite having home-field advantage.

Philadelphia knows all too well that the Chiefs will win the title. The Eagles just lost to Kansas City in the Super Bowl two seasons ago. A return would be a great story and would give the Eagles a chance at revenge on the biggest stage.

Most NFL fans just want to see a great game in the Super Bowl, but with the Chiefs winning so much, there may be a certain fatigue setting in – even among those who didn't play quarterback for the Eagles for 11 seasons.
