One dead in nighttime crash on I-69 near Morgan Ave.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred late Saturday night in Evansville.

That's according to Evansville police, who say officers were called to I-69 near Morgan Ave. just before 10:30 p.m.

When the fire department arrived, one of the people involved said he had already died.

We were told that the other person was taken to the hospital for blood tests.

Firefighters, an accident reconstructionist, AIU investigators and a forensic officer were also called in to assist in the investigation.

The victim has not yet been identified.
