Off-duty police officer rescues man from tragic train accident at Mumbai railway station

The incident occurred at Goregaon railway station.

An off-duty Mumbai Police officer heroically rushed to the aid of a man on a railway platform to save his life. The man had fallen while trying to board a moving train and almost slipped under it. Thanks to the officer's quick reaction, a tragic accident was averted. The incident occurred at Goregaon railway station.

In a post sharing the video of the incident, Mumbai Police wrote, “PC Balaso Dhage, on his way home, noticed a man stuck between a moving train and the platform at Goregaon railway station. By acting quickly, PC Dhage was able to avert a tragedy and save his life.”

The video begins with a man trying to board a moving train. He misses a step, falls and gets stuck in the narrow gap between the train and the platform. Seeing that the man is in danger, PC Balaso Dhage immediately rushes over and pulls him to safety. Several others then gather on the platform to check on the man.

The post was shared on August 30th and has since received over 700,000 views. It has also garnered nearly 30,000 likes and the numbers continue to rise, as well as numerous comments.
