The allegations relate to two incidents, one in 2008 and another in 2013, in which Jayasurya was accused of sexually harassing actresses on film sets. The actor has strongly denied these allegations.

In his post, he explained that he was in the United States with his family when the allegations surfaced. He also pointed out that these baseless accusations have deeply affected him and his family.

“False accusations are easy to make for anyone without conscience and heartlessness. I just hope people realize that being confronted with a false accusation of harassment is just as painful as the harassment itself,” he wrote.

Among the allegations against Jayasurya is that he groped an actress on the sets of a Balachandra Menon film in 2008. Another complaint alleges that he sexually harassed an actress on the sets of a film in Thodupuzha in 2013.

“Lies and false stories spread faster in the world than the truth, but ultimately the truth prevails. As soon as I finish my work here, I will return and start my legal battle to prove my innocence. I have complete trust in the justice system of our country. Thank you to all of you for making this birthday the saddest and worst day of my life. Those who are without sins can throw stones, but only at sinners,” he added.

The actor faces charges under Sections 354, 354A and 509 of the Indian Penal Code in connection with the allegations relating to the 2008 and 2013 incidents.
