Jr NTR's upcoming film “Devara: Part 1' is one of the most awaited projects. This action thriller has already created a lot of buzz, especially because it stars Bollywood stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. The film will hit the theatres on September 27. According to reports, the film's plot is inspired by a true tragedy that deeply affected thousands of people in Andhra Pradesh.
According to CineJosh, director Koratala Shivais known for drawing inspiration from real historical events in his films and seems to have taken a similar approach with “Devara”. The filmmaker reportedly based “Devara” on the Karamchedu massacrea shocking incident that occurred in Andhra Pradesh in 1985.
For those who don't know, the Karamchedu massacre was a violent and tragic event in which the Dalit community, particularly the Madigas, were brutally attacked by members of the high-caste Kamma landlords. The incident resulted in several deaths and serious injuries among the Dalits, while many others were forced to flee their homes and leave their belongings behind. This event left a deep and painful scar on the social fabric of Andhra Pradesh and remains a significant chapter in the state's history. As the release date draws closer, the makers of 'Devara' have been actively sharing promotional content, including a new poster that has sparked considerable speculation. The poster, which shows two different expressions of Jr NTR, has led many to wonder if the actor might play a double role in the film. While this has fuelled rumours and discussions among fans, there is no official confirmation from the filmmakers regarding the double role.
Devara marks the South Indian cinematic debut of Bollywood stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, who have both essayed prominent roles in the film. Since the film is being released across India, it will be available in multiple languages.
