Mattapan man arrested for fatal stabbing in Jamaica Plain, police say

A Mattapan man faces murder charges for stabbing another man to death in Jamaica Plain last weekend, Boston police said Saturday.

Jordan Albert-Scott, 33, of Mattapan was arrested Friday afternoon on a warrant charging him with the murder of Daniel Coke, 45, of Jamaica Plain, police said in a statement.

Albert-Scott was arrested around 2:20 p.m. in the area of ​​182 Dudley St. on a Boston Municipal Court/Roxbury warrant. He is accused of murdering Coke early Sunday morning, police said.

At 4:42 a.m., officers responded to the area of ​​10 Amory Terrace after a person had been stabbed. Officers on scene found Coke with life-threatening injuries and transported him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, the statement said.

Albert-Scott is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court/Roxbury.

The investigation is ongoing.
