Report: Man allegedly stabbed man in the neck in Nashville bar

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man was arrested for stabbing another man in the neck at a Nashville bar, according to an affidavit.

On August 29, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to 5851 Old Hickory Boulevard.

Officers learned that 61-year-old James Smith and another man got into an argument on the bar's back patio. Smith initially struck the victim, Eric Young, on the head with his cane.

According to the police report, Smith pulled a knife from his pocket and stabbed him in the neck.

Police said Young suffered minor injuries.

Smith was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
