KAMLOOPS – A man was arrested Saturday morning (August 31) following an attack on the North Shore.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) of Kamloops said officers were called to a home on Fortune Drive shortly before 9:00 a.m. on suspicion of an assault on two women.

In a press release issued Saturday morning, the RCMP said a 22-year-old man fled the home with two small children.

“Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officers and Kamloops Police Canine Service officers searched the area in an effort to locate the suspect and the children. They combed surrounding areas and caused minor traffic delays on the bridges coming from the North Shore,” said S/Sgt. Janelle Shoihet.
