Thane: Days after the incident at the school in Badlapur, another case of sexual abuse has come to light in which a two-year-old girl Was kidnapped from outside her home and in Kalyan Taluka of Thane district.
According to police, after committing the crime, the accused handed the girl over to her mother while she was crying and writhing in pain. To save himself, he made up a story in which he claimed that two people were taking the girl away.
Noticing something unusual, the victim's mother lodged a complaint with the police. The Thane Rural Police arrested the 37-year-old accused on Saturday morning after preliminary investigation and produced him before a special Pocso court at the Kalyan sessions court later in the day. The judge sent him to seven days' custody. Police custody.
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when the girl was playing outside her house. Suddenly, the accused, who lives in the same area, kidnapped the girl and took her to a remote area where he sexually abused her, the charge sheet says.
According to police sources, after some time, the accused took the girl to her mother's home and said that two people picked up her daughter and asked her to look after her because she was crying.
However, the mother later noticed that her dress was covered in blood and realized that she had been sexually abused.
The child's parents later contacted local police on Friday with the help of the owner of the house where the victim's father works as a security guard.
After receiving the complaint, the police immediately sent the child to a government hospital for medical examination. Later, the next day, on Saturday, they sent her to the Central Hospital for further treatment, where the girl was admitted for injuries.
Meanwhile, the police have started searching for the accused after registering a case of kidnapping and sexual assault under the BNS Act and sections of the POCSO Act against unidentified persons.
As the police found out, the accused worked as a day laborer and lived in the same area where the incident occurred.
