Kelly Osbourne's boyfriend remembers watching his skin peel off on the way to the emergency room this week after a horrific accident.

Sid Wilson, 47, a member of the band Slipknot, was involved in a bizarre accident earlier this week when he lit a campfire and suffered severe burns when it exploded in front of his eyes.

Wilson has been dating 39-year-old Kelly Osbourne since 2022 and has a young son with the reality TV star.

“A few nights ago I lit it on fire and let it burn down,” Wilson recalled in a recent phone call with Fox News Digital.

“So the next day I went to see how much was left, if anything. And there was still a certain amount of rubble left on the side, so like an idiot, I [did] which I shouldn't do, but I gave it some gas.”

Wilson continued, “I looked for a long branch some distance away to light it on, but then I couldn't find one right away. So my impatience got the better of me and I thought, screw it. I'll be fine, you know?

“And I crouched down, reached over and lit it, and it was just – it was really humid outside, so there were still a lot of fumes hanging around in there, and then… woof. It exploded.”

Wilson has since suffered severe burns, especially on his arms and face.

“My whole right arm is bandaged, half of my left arm,” he said.

“My face basically melted from the nose down. But the swelling has gone down, and they said the face is kind of amazing because it's regenerating, it's happening really quickly, it seems to heal quickly.”

He said of Osbourne: “I'm not sure what I would do if she wasn't here doing all this for me.”

The DJ added to TMZ that he drove himself to the emergency room and observed his skin beginning to “peel off” his body.

However, it seems Wilson is moving on after announcing that despite his injuries, he plans to perform at Slipknot's show on Sunday (September 1).

In an Instagram post on Friday (August 30), Wilson said he was “halfway there,” adding in a separate video: “@kellyosbourne has the Florence Nightingale effect on me.”
