The accusation is that the director sexually harassed the artist in a hotel.

The young artist stated that Menon called her to the hotel and promised her a chance in an advertisement. He then sexually abused her.

The Maradu police registered the case based on a complaint lodged by the junior artiste, who hails from Kottayam, through an email. The case has been handed over to a Special Investigation Team for further investigation.

Many prominent personalities of the Malayalam film industry, such as director Ranjith, actor and MP Mukesh, actors Jayasurya and Edavela Babu and actor and producer Maniyanpilla Raju, are currently facing trials for shocking revelations made by many women artistes in the industry.
