Knife attack – dispute between asylum seekers escalates – one dead – Panorama

Ravensburg (dpa) – A 25-year-old asylum seeker was fatally injured with a knife in Ravensburg in Upper Swabia. A dispute between the man and another 31-year-old asylum seeker escalated shortly after 7 p.m. in front of a supermarket, police said. During the altercation, the older man seriously injured his opponent with a knife. According to reports, the 25-year-old Somali was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he died that evening.

A police patrol that happened to be on the scene arrested the 31-year-old Gambian. The police say the two had already clashed on Thursday. The background to the argument is completely unclear and is part of the ongoing investigation that the Ravensburg Criminal Investigation Department has taken over.
