LeBron James expresses his condolences on the death of NHL star Johnny Gaudreau

On Thursday night, National Hockey League star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew were in New Jersey preparing for their sister's wedding on Friday when, unfortunately, they were hit and killed while riding their bicycles by an alleged drunk driver.

The entire sports world mourned their deaths on Friday. Johnny Gaudreau, nicknamed “Johnny Hockey,” played eleven seasons in the NHL, nine of them with the Calgary Flames and the last two with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and was on the All-Star team seven times.

LeBron James sent his condolences to his family via X (formerly known as Twitter).

The Gaudreau brothers were to attend the wedding in Philadelphia on Friday and were to be the groomsmen. The two were only two years apart in age, were from New Jersey and had been teammates at Boston College.

This incident reminds us how fleeting life is and how important it is to make the most of each day, as none of us knows how many tomorrows life has in store for us.
