According to police, the boys were also with other girls, which left the victims deeply disturbed and they subsequently took their lives. Police have charged Deepak and Pawan with abetment to suicide and are currently questioning them. They are scheduled to be produced in court today, Friday. Investigations revealed that the girls had used their uncle's phone to communicate with the boys and subsequently deleted all the details. The two girls were found hanging from a mango tree in Farrukhabad's Kaimganj area on Tuesday morning. They were wearing the same dupatta. The discovery created a furore in the area. Initially, police suspected suicide, but families suspected foul play and found injuries on the bodies. However, a later video showed the family retracting their murder allegations. The girls had gone to a village festival for Janmashtami and had not returned. Their families searched intensively but in vain.
