Flint releases temporary phone number during cyberattack recovery

FLINT, Mich. (WNEM) – While the City of Flint works to bring its phone server back online, Flint residents can now reach city offices using a temporary phone number.

Residents can call 810-382-6576.

The city said a message would be forwarded to the appropriate department and customers would receive a call back.

This comes as the City of Flint believes it has successfully recovered much of its key data following a criminal ransomware attack two weeks ago.

The attack caused a network outage in the early hours of Wednesday, August 14.
