Chambersburg man charged with sexually abusing 10-year-old victim

August 29, 2024 – A Greene Township man is facing numerous charges after allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old victim when her parents were away. Altor Tiem is charged with filming a sexual act with a child, aggravated sexual assault of a child, sexual assault of a minor, sexual assault of a person under 13, and child endangerment. Tiem was unable to make the $500,000 bail and is behind bars in Franklin County.

Pennsylvania State Police were called to a home near Fayetteville in Franklin County just before midnight on August 28 for a report of a sexual assault. Troopers spoke with the victim's mother, who allegedly told police that Altor Tiem, the alleged perpetrator, had fled into the woods and was extremely intoxicated. Tiem was quickly arrested by troopers nearby.

The ten-year-old victim was reportedly sexually abused by Tiem and was left shaken by the incident. A preliminary investigation revealed that Tiem allegedly abused her while she was sleeping and also allegedly filmed the victim removing her swimwear.

After questioning those involved, the police found the phone that Tiem allegedly used to film the victim. This phone, according to PSP, actually belonged to the victim's mother. It allegedly showed a recording of Tiem hiding the phone before the victim entered the room and the subsequent incident.

The police questioned Tiem on the spot about his rights and he allegedly told them, “I'm going to jail.” Tiem was asked why this was and he allegedly replied, “I guess I'm doing something. I've never fucking done that before.” Tiem did not answer any further questions from the police and was arrested on the aforementioned charges.

Altor Tiem remains behind bars on $500,000 bail.
