Home and Away shows Nelson Giles' departure after tragic death

Home and Away's Nelson Giles will say goodbye to Summer Bay following the tragic death of Stevie Marlow.

Stevie was gunned down on the set of “All Our Tomorrows,” which was filmed in the picturesque town, after being tracked down by her dangerous stalker Sidney.

After his trial failed on a technicality, he made his way to the film set and shot the star, but hospital staff were unable to save her.

Nelson was among those on set who rushed to safety during the attack, and after Stevie's death he was so angry with the direction of the film that he wants to leave the production and Summer Bay.

In scenes set to air in the UK, Bree Cameron meets her crush Nelson again and he announces that he has given up directing the film.

He is angry at the insensitivity of the producers who wanted to recast Stevie's role after her murder and could not in good conscience continue work on the film.

Bree asks what he's going to do next and Nelson reveals that he has a project waiting for him in Naples and he wants her to go with him, but Bree is hesitant.

When Rose asks Delaney why she didn't take the opportunity to move to Naples, Bree admits it's because of her ex-boyfriend Remi Carter and their recent kiss.

When talking about the moment of passion, she admits that her muscle memory kicked in when she consoled him about Stevie. However, she also says that she still has feelings for him and thinks about him even when she is with Nelson.

Bree understands that she has to be honest with Nelson about what happened and tells him everything. Ultimately, he decides that he doesn't care about what happened to Remi and the invitation to Italy still stands.

Bree says she can't go with him, and Nelson gives her a passionate kiss goodbye – just as Remi arrives and witnesses the whole thing.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeats at 6pm on 5STAR and first previews at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in Great Britain.

In Australia, the show airs Monday to Thursday at 7pm on Channel 7 and is streamed on 7Plus.
