Viewers, beware… it's going to be a scare! After a decade's absence from our television screens, the hidden camera horror series Scaremongering will return in early October with executive producer Jordan Peele. The classic show makes ordinary people laugh by putting them in scary situations designed to recall classic horror scenes in the movies.

USA Network has released an official trailer for the reboot, which aims to scare the living daylights out of unsuspecting victims – and provide a few scary laughs along the way.

what is Scaremongering about?

“In each episode, devious pranksters will trick friends and family, known as Targets, in hilariously twisted scenarios that blur the lines between reality, horror and comedy,” the official synopsis reads. “From a casual dinner party that takes an unexpectedly cannibalistic turn to a newlywed couple who find themselves the proud new parents of something… less human, Targets must make one surreal decision after another while the audience laughs, jumps and is left breathless for more.”

No target is excluded, not even the WWE Superstars The New Day, who end up in the middle of a paranormal event during a completely ordinary promotional event with their superstar colleague Cody Rhodes.

Jordan Peele and Win Rosenfeld serve as executive producers under their name Monkeypaw, known for projects such as Exit, Us, hunterAnd Lovecraft Land. Additional EPs include Scott Hallock (co-creator of the original series with Kevin Healey) and showrunner Elan Gale.

Who is the new moderator of Scaremongering?

In a major break with tradition, this new version is hosted not by a celebrity but by a ghostly teenager named Flip. He has an unnatural – one might even call it supernatural – an obsession with horror films and human fear, and engineers invent – but no less terrifying – horror scenarios and then put real people in the lead roles of their own horror films.

When Scaremongering Premiere?

The Jordan Peele-produced remake of Scaremongering Premiere is planned on USA Network on Friday, October 4th at 10 p.m. ET. The first episode will also air simultaneously on Bravo, SYFY And EAR! New episodes will first stream one week after their release on Peacock. USA Ventilation.
