Shocking dashcam video from Bengaluru shows woman faking car accident

The video has gone viral and raised concerns about road safety and the need for dashcams.

In a bizarre incident, a woman was caught on a car's dashcam faking an accident by falling in front of the moving car on one of Bengaluru's roads. The video shows how the driver slowed down after spotting her, but she fell on the car and then tried to attack him, behaving erratically before leaving the accident scene.

The footage was shared on X by Shonee Kapoor on August 29, urging social media users to install dashcams. He warned motorists: “Install a dashcam. You never know when something like this will happen to you. Especially if it's a woman. If something happens, people will immediately be on her side.”

The video shows the man driving through Bengaluru when the woman, standing in the middle of the road, starts ramming the passing vehicles. Despite the driver's attempts to avoid her, she threw herself on his car. The video has led to speculation on social media that the woman is either mentally ill, “possessed” or simply trying a trick to beg money from drivers.

Specifically, the dashcam showed the woman standing on the road and intentionally hitting the hood of the car to make it look like she had been hit. The footage also showed that the driver was safely driving the vehicle when the woman intentionally engaged in this unusual behavior. Moreover, the video went viral and raised questions about such dangerous behavior on busy roads.
