A Bushton woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Barton County on Wednesday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 5:09 p.m. Wednesday, a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty driven by 61-year-old Kandis Diane Nye of Bushton was stopped at the intersection of Northeast 30 Road and Washington Avenue, westbound, two miles north of Great Bend on Washington Avenue.

A 2006 Chevrolet C4500 towing a trailer, driven by 26-year-old Andreas Dewayne Vereecke of Garfield, was traveling south on Washington Street just north of the intersection.

The vehicles collided at the intersection.

Nye was taken to KU Medical Center in Great Bend with suspected serious injuries.

She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The driver and two passengers in the Chevrolet were not injured and were all wearing seat belts.
